Ordeal
April 12 to 14th

The Order of the Arrow Ordeal is a significant rite of passage within the Scouts BSA honor society, the Order of the Arrow. During the Ordeal, candidates undergo a period of reflection, service, and purification, deepening their commitment to the principles of scouting and the OA. Participants are guided through various tasks and challenges, including service projects, camping experiences, and periods of silence and introspection. The Ordeal emphasizes the values of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service to others, instilling in candidates a sense of duty and responsibility to their fellow scouts and community. Upon completion of the Ordeal, participants become full members of the Order of the Arrow, joining a fellowship of scouts dedicated to promoting camping, service, and leadership within their troops and beyond.

Induction Weekend runs from Friday at 7pm until Sunday at 11AM unless otherwise noted in the event.

Please pack the following items separately:

  • Sleeping Bag/ Ground Cloth
  • Work Clothing
  • Poncho, or other Rain Gear
  • Work Gloves
  • Water Bottle
  • Deodorant, Toiletries for personal hygiene

Other Items to Bring:

  • A FULL Scout Uniform
  • Tent (You can share a tent)
  • Flashlight, Scout Pocket Knife
  • Towel, Insect Repellant
  • Money to Spend in Trading Post (optional)

Do NOT bring the following items:

  • Radios
  • Electronic Games
  • Food Items, or Drinks (Ample water will be provided all weekend)

**Be sure to bring a photocopy of your current medical form (NOT the original). Any medications must be properly marked for dispensing and sealed in a clear plastic food storage bag with your name on it.**

Section E-2 Conclave
May 10-12

The Order of the Arrow Conclave is a gathering of Arrowmen from various lodges within a specific region or council of the Boy Scouts of America. It serves as a celebration of brotherhood, leadership, and the spirit of scouting. During a Conclave, Arrowmen participate in a wide range of activities, including training sessions, ceremonies, competitions, service projects, and social events. The event provides opportunities for members to learn new skills, exchange ideas, and forge connections with fellow scouts from different lodges. Conclaves often feature guest speakers, special programs, and memorable experiences that inspire participants to deepen their commitment to the principles of the Order of the Arrow and to serve as leaders within their scouting community.

Join us May 10-12, 2024 at Camp Miakonda in Toledo, Ohio for a weekend filled with trainings to help grow you skills as a leader such as communication trainings and trainings for advisers. We will also have amazing shows and activities for you to join in fellowship with your fellow arrowmen. This is not an event you are going to want to miss, make sure to mark you calendar! Join us for our wild, WILD Conclave! We will be holding out annual Section Conclave at Camp Miakonda in Toledo, OH on May 10-12, 2024! 

Conclave is our section’s annual weekend of fun activities, trainings, engaging nightly shows, and patch trading! This event is tailored to arrowmen in our lodges. Whether you’re there for the New Arrowmen Luncheon, escape rooms, climbing wall, or even our human foosball, this event is NOT one to miss!

Summer Fellowship

The Order of the Arrow Summer Fellowship is an annual event held by local chapters or lodges of the Order of the Arrow within the Scouts BSA. It typically takes place during the summer months and serves as a time for Arrowmen to come together for fellowship, training, and service. During the Summer Fellowship, Arrowmen participate in a variety of activities, such as leadership development workshops, outdoor skills training, team-building exercises, and service projects benefiting the local scouting community. The event provides an opportunity for members to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, deepen their understanding of OA principles, and contribute to the improvement of their scouting environment. Additionally, Summer Fellowship often includes special ceremonies, recreational activities, and opportunities for personal growth, making it a memorable and enriching experience for all participants.

NOAC

The Order of the Arrow National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is a premier event held every two to three years by the Boy Scouts of America’s honor society, the Order of the Arrow (OA). NOAC brings together thousands of Arrowmen from across the country for a week-long gathering focused on fellowship, training, and celebration of scouting. The conference features a wide range of activities, including leadership development seminars, outdoor skills workshops, service projects, and ceremonies. Arrowmen have the opportunity to connect with fellow scouts, exchange ideas, and participate in friendly competitions and games. NOAC also includes special events, such as the Founder’s Day celebration, where participants honor the legacy of the OA’s founders. Overall, NOAC is a unique and memorable experience that promotes the values of brotherhood, leadership, and service within the scouting community.

Lodge Leadership Development

Order of the Arrow Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) is a training event organized by local chapters or lodges within the Boy Scouts of America’s honor society, the Order of the Arrow (OA). The purpose of LLD is to provide leadership training and development opportunities for Arrowmen serving in various roles within their lodge. Participants learn essential leadership skills, such as communication, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving, through a combination of interactive workshops, presentations, and hands-on activities. LLD also focuses on promoting the values of the OA, including brotherhood, cheerful service, and the promotion of camping. By attending LLD, Arrowmen gain the knowledge, confidence, and inspiration to effectively lead and serve their lodge and the scouting community as a whole.
